Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 5 October 2026

These Booking Terms and Conditions apply to tickets, bookings and admissions for events, performances and experiences organised by Anyplace Theatre.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before completing a booking. By purchasing a ticket or making a booking, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

  1. ABOUT ANYPLACE THEATRE

Anyplace Theatre is operated by Ross Woods trading as Anyplace Theatre.

Anyplace Theatre produces and presents live theatre, immersive experiences, performances, workshops and other theatrical or creative events.

These Terms and Conditions apply generally to our events. Individual events may have additional information, requirements or conditions, which will be clearly stated on the relevant event page, booking page or ticket information.

Where event-specific information differs from these general Terms and Conditions, the event-specific information will apply to that event.

  1. PURCHASING TICKETS

Tickets are subject to availability.

A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully completed and you have received a booking confirmation or ticket.

Tickets may be purchased directly from Anyplace Theatre or through a third-party ticketing platform, including Ticket Tailor.

You are responsible for checking your booking confirmation and ensuring that the event, date, time, number of tickets and ticket type are correct.

Ticket prices are those displayed at the time of purchase. Prices may vary according to the event, ticket category, booking period and availability.

Once purchased, the price of a ticket will not be increased retrospectively.

  1. TICKET CATEGORIES

Different events may offer different ticket categories.

These may include, but are not limited to:

EARLY BIRD TICKETS

Early Bird tickets may be offered at a reduced price for a limited period or limited number of tickets.

Early Bird availability is subject to the conditions stated when the ticket is offered and may end once the stated allocation has been sold or the stated period has expired.

STANDARD TICKETS

Standard tickets provide admission to the event and include the features stated in the relevant event information.

PREMIUM TICKETS

Premium tickets may include additional benefits, experiences, merchandise, seating, hospitality or other features beyond those included with a Standard ticket.

The specific benefits included with a Premium ticket will be stated on the relevant event booking page.

GROUP TICKETS

Group tickets may be offered for bookings meeting a specified number of attendees.

Any minimum group size, maximum group size, discount or additional benefits will be stated when the ticket is offered.

OTHER TICKET TYPES

We may offer other ticket categories for particular events, including but not limited to couples tickets, concessions, VIP tickets, workshops, memberships, special packages or promotional tickets.

The terms and benefits applicable to each category will be stated at the time of purchase.

  1. TICKET BENEFITS

The benefits associated with a particular ticket are those described on the relevant booking page at the time of purchase.

Where a ticket includes food, drink, merchandise, activities, special experiences, seating, House allocation, costume elements or other benefits, these will be described as clearly as reasonably possible.

Some elements of an event may be subject to availability or reasonable operational variation.

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to individual benefits where necessary for safety, operational or artistic reasons, provided that the overall experience is not materially changed.

  1. GROUP BOOKINGS

Where multiple tickets are purchased together in a single booking, we will make reasonable efforts to keep members of the booking together where the nature and layout of the event permits.

For events involving audience groups, teams, Houses or other forms of allocation, we may assign guests according to the event’s particular format.

Where tickets are purchased separately, we cannot guarantee that those attendees will be placed together.

If being together with another booking is particularly important to you, please contact us as early as possible and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

  1. TICKET TRANSFERS

Tickets may normally be transferred to another person, subject to any event-specific restrictions.

The person attending must satisfy any applicable age, accessibility or other requirements.

If you wish to transfer a ticket, please contact Anyplace Theatre or follow the relevant procedure provided by the ticketing platform.

We may require the name or contact details of the new attendee for event administration purposes.

We reserve the right to refuse a transfer where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including where a ticket has been obtained fraudulently or where the transfer would breach an event-specific restriction.

  1. TICKET RESALE

Tickets must not be resold commercially or for profit without the prior written permission of Anyplace Theatre.

Where a ticket is transferred to another person in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the original purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the new attendee is aware of any relevant event information.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to restrict any statutory rights relating to ticket resale.

  1. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS BY CUSTOMERS

Tickets for a particular event date and time are generally non-refundable if you subsequently decide that you no longer wish to attend or are unable to attend.

However, where reasonably possible, Anyplace Theatre may allow you to:

  • transfer your ticket to another person;

  • transfer your booking to another performance or event date; or

  • receive a credit or other alternative arrangement.

Any such arrangement is subject to availability and may be subject to reasonable administrative conditions.

If an event is sold out, we may be unable to transfer your booking to another date or accommodate a change of attendee.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits your statutory consumer rights.

  1. CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT BY ANYPLACE THEATRE

We will use reasonable endeavours to deliver events substantially as advertised.

However, circumstances may arise in which an event must be postponed, changed or cancelled.

These circumstances may include:

  • venue or operational difficulties;

  • performer or staff illness;

  • safety concerns;

  • severe weather;

  • government restrictions or requirements;

  • insufficient ticket sales;

  • technical or production problems;

  • circumstances beyond our reasonable control; or

  • any other circumstances which make it impractical or unsafe to proceed.

If we cancel an event before it takes place, we will contact affected ticket holders using the contact details provided at booking.

Where appropriate, we may offer:

  • a transfer to another performance or event;

  • a credit towards a future Anyplace Theatre event; or

  • a refund.

Where a refund is legally due, it will be provided in accordance with applicable law.

If an event is postponed, we will provide information about the new date and any available options.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any statutory rights you may have.

  1. CHANGES TO EVENTS

Live theatre and creative events can develop during the production process.

Performers, characters, programme content, running times, activities, menus, venues, seating arrangements and other elements may occasionally change.

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes where necessary for artistic, operational or safety reasons.

We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the event remains substantially consistent with the description provided at the time of booking.

Where a change materially alters the event or significantly affects what you have purchased, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected ticket holders and, where appropriate, provide an alternative arrangement or other appropriate remedy.

  1. EVENT INFORMATION

The event page, booking confirmation and pre-event information will provide the details relevant to the particular event.

These may include:

  • event date and time;

  • venue;

  • recommended arrival time;

  • age restrictions;

  • accessibility information;

  • expected duration;

  • dress or costume requirements;

  • food and drink arrangements;

  • ticket inclusions;

  • parking or travel information; and

  • any event-specific rules.

It is your responsibility to read this information before attending.

  1. ARRIVAL AND LATE ARRIVAL

Please arrive at the time stated in your event information or ticket.

You should allow sufficient time for travel, parking, finding the venue and completing any required check-in or registration.

Late arrival may result in you missing part of the event.

For operational, safety or artistic reasons, we may be unable to admit guests after a particular point.

Where late admission is possible, you may be required to wait until an appropriate point in the event before being admitted.

Where you are unable to attend because you arrive too late to be admitted, a refund will not normally be available.

  1. AGE REQUIREMENTS

Any age restrictions applying to an event will be stated on the relevant event page and booking information.

Where an event has an age restriction, we reserve the right to refuse admission where an attendee does not meet the stated requirement.

Where children or young people are permitted to attend, any supervision or accompanying-adult requirements will be stated in the event information.

  1. PARTICIPATION AND IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

Some Anyplace Theatre events may involve audience participation or immersive theatre.

Where an event is described as immersive or participatory, attendees may be:

  • addressed directly by performers;

  • invited to interact with characters;

  • asked to make choices;

  • invited to take part in activities;

  • moved between different areas of a venue; or

  • encouraged to participate in the fictional world of the event.

Participation is intended to be enjoyable and voluntary wherever reasonably possible.

You are not expected to perform, improvise or participate beyond the level you are comfortable with unless a particular activity has been clearly described as a required part of the event.

Because live theatre involves interaction between performers and audiences, no two performances may be exactly the same.

  1. RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR

Anyplace Theatre aims to provide welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable experiences for audiences, performers, staff, volunteers and venue partners.

We do not tolerate:

  • threatening or abusive behaviour;

  • harassment or intimidation;

  • discriminatory behaviour;

  • unwanted physical contact;

  • deliberate disruption of performances;

  • behaviour that places another person at risk;

  • damage to property;

  • theft;

  • illegal drug use; or

  • seriously disruptive or unsafe intoxication.

Guests must follow reasonable instructions from Anyplace Theatre staff, performers and venue staff where those instructions relate to safety, security or the operation of the event.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to, or remove from an event, anyone whose behaviour is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, seriously disruptive or otherwise inappropriate.

Where a person is removed because of their behaviour, a refund will not normally be provided.

  1. HEALTH, SAFETY AND CONDUCT

The safety and wellbeing of our audiences, performers, staff, volunteers and venue partners is extremely important to Anyplace Theatre.

Depending on the nature of an event, you may be participating in an immersive environment, moving around a venue, interacting with performers or encountering theatrical props, scenery, lighting, sound effects or other production equipment.

You must follow reasonable health and safety instructions given by Anyplace Theatre staff, performers, venue staff or other authorised personnel.

PHYSICAL CONTACT

Unless an event specifically states otherwise, you must not deliberately touch performers, staff or other guests.

Performers may move close to you, address you directly or, where appropriate to the particular production, use limited physical interaction as part of the performance. Any such interaction will be managed by the production team.

You must not touch, grab, restrain, threaten or otherwise interfere with performers or other guests.

If you are uncomfortable with an interaction during an immersive event, please inform a member of the Anyplace Theatre team.

PERFORMER LANGUAGE AND THEMES

Some Anyplace Theatre productions may contain strong language, adult themes, frightening material, fictional violence or other content that some people may find challenging or offensive.

Where reasonably practicable, relevant content information or age guidance will be provided before booking.

Language or behaviour used by performers as part of a performance is not intended to encourage or invite abusive behaviour from audience members.

Guests must not swear at, threaten, insult or verbally abuse performers, staff or other guests.

PROPS, SCENERY AND EQUIPMENT

Guests must not climb on walls, scenery, furniture, doors, structures, props or other equipment unless expressly instructed to do so by an authorised member of the production team.

Guests must not move, interfere with, tamper with or misuse theatrical equipment, safety equipment, scenery, props, fixtures or fittings unless specifically invited to do so as part of the experience.

Equipment provided for safety purposes must not be interfered with or deliberately misused.

Any person who deliberately damages property may be held responsible for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, where permitted by law.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Safety instructions may be given verbally, in writing, through signage or by other means during an event.

You must follow reasonable safety instructions and warnings.

Ignoring or deliberately disregarding a safety instruction may result in you being refused participation in a particular activity or being asked to leave the event where necessary to protect you or others.

Where a person is removed from an event because they have deliberately disregarded safety instructions, a refund will not normally be provided.

DRUGS, WEAPONS AND DANGEROUS ITEMS

The possession or use of illegal drugs at an Anyplace Theatre event is strictly prohibited.

Weapons and items intended or reasonably capable of causing injury or damage must not be brought into an event unless they have been expressly authorised as part of the production.

This includes realistic or replica weapons where their presence could reasonably create a safety or security concern.

Any person found to be in possession of illegal drugs, a weapon or another dangerous item may be refused admission or removed from the event.

Where appropriate, the matter may be reported to the police or other relevant authorities.

SEARCHES AND SECURITY

Where reasonably necessary for the safety and security of an event, Anyplace Theatre or the venue may operate appropriate security procedures.

This may include asking guests to open bags or remove items that could present a safety risk.

Any security procedures will be carried out reasonably and, where applicable, in accordance with the venue’s own policies.

EMERGENCIES

If an emergency occurs, or if an evacuation or other safety procedure is required, the fictional world of the performance will be suspended and normal safety procedures will take priority.

You must follow instructions from Anyplace Theatre staff, performers, venue staff, emergency personnel and other authorised persons.

If you have an urgent medical or safety concern during an event, please alert a member of the team immediately.

REFUSAL OF ADMISSION AND EJECTION

Anyplace Theatre reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove from an event, any person whose behaviour or actions create a safety risk, seriously disrupt the event, damage property, disregard reasonable safety instructions or otherwise breach these Terms and Conditions.

Where necessary, removal may take place without a refund.

Nothing in this section prevents us from exercising any rights or remedies available to us under applicable law.

  1. ALCOHOL

Where alcohol is provided or sold as part of an event, it will be supplied in accordance with applicable licensing requirements.

Guests must comply with reasonable instructions relating to alcohol consumption.

We reserve the right to refuse alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated or whose behaviour is unsafe or disruptive.

Guests must comply with any age restrictions relating to alcohol.

Where non-alcoholic alternatives are available, details will be provided as part of the relevant event information.

  1. FOOD AND ALLERGIES

Where food or drink is included in a ticket, details will be provided as part of the event information.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies where practicable.

If you have an allergy or significant dietary requirement, you should inform us as early as possible.

We cannot guarantee that food preparation environments will be completely free from allergens.

If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before attending so that we can discuss whether suitable arrangements can be made.

  1. ACCESSIBILITY

We want Anyplace Theatre events to be accessible wherever reasonably possible.

Accessibility arrangements vary according to the event and venue.

Information about known access arrangements will be provided where relevant.

If you have an accessibility requirement or need a reasonable adjustment to enable you to attend or participate, please contact us before the event where possible.

We will consider reasonable requests and will work with venues and customers to identify suitable arrangements wherever reasonably practicable.

Some events may involve standing, walking, moving between areas, uneven surfaces, low lighting, loud sounds or other environmental features. Relevant information will be provided where appropriate.

  1. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

You are responsible for your personal belongings while attending an Anyplace Theatre event.

Where a cloakroom, storage area or other facility is provided, details and any applicable conditions will be provided at the event.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, belongings are left at your own risk.

We recommend that valuable or unnecessary items are not brought to events.

  1. PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING AND RECORDING

Photography, filming or audio recording may take place at Anyplace Theatre events for purposes including documentation, archival material, publicity and marketing.

Where appropriate, we will provide information about photography or filming at the event.

Certain areas or parts of an event may be designated as no-photography or no-recording areas.

Guests must not deliberately record or reproduce material where doing so would interfere with the performance, compromise another person’s privacy or reveal confidential material intended to remain part of the experience.

If you have concerns about appearing in photography or filming undertaken by Anyplace Theatre, please contact us.

  1. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SPOILERS

Some Anyplace Theatre events, particularly immersive or narrative experiences, may contain confidential information, surprises or story elements intended to be discovered during the event.

We ask attendees to respect the experience of other customers and not deliberately disclose significant plot developments, secrets or other confidential material to people who have not yet attended.

We cannot control what individual attendees subsequently discuss or publish online.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Anyplace Theatre and its productions may include original scripts, stories, characters, designs, artwork, music, photography, branding and other creative material.

Unless otherwise stated, these materials belong to Anyplace Theatre or their respective rights holders.

Purchasing a ticket gives you the right to attend the relevant event. It does not give you ownership of, or permission to reproduce or commercially exploit, Anyplace Theatre’s intellectual property.

  1. VENUES AND VENUE RULES

Anyplace Theatre may use venues operated or managed by third parties.

Attendees must comply with reasonable rules and instructions issued by the venue as well as those issued by Anyplace Theatre.

Venue-specific safety requirements will take precedence where necessary.

  1. LOST PROPERTY

If you lose or leave an item at an event, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will make reasonable efforts to identify and return lost property but cannot guarantee that an item will be recovered.

Unclaimed property may be disposed of after a reasonable period.

  1. LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Nothing excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to those limitations, Anyplace Theatre is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence or another circumstance for which we are legally responsible.

We are not responsible for circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

  1. PRIVACY

Personal information provided when making a booking or contacting Anyplace Theatre will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Bookings may be processed through Ticket Tailor and payments may be processed through Stripe.

Information about how Anyplace Theatre collects, uses and protects personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

  1. COMPLAINTS

We want you to have a positive experience with Anyplace Theatre.

If you experience a problem during an event, please speak to a member of the Anyplace Theatre team as soon as reasonably possible. This gives us the opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, resolve the issue at the time.

If you wish to make a complaint after an event, please contact:

Please include your booking details and a description of the issue so that we can investigate it properly.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions and any contract between you and Anyplace Theatre are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects mandatory rights or protections that apply to you as a consumer.

  1. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to your booking will normally be the version in force when you complete your purchase.

If we make a change because of a legal requirement, or where the change does not adversely affect existing bookings, the updated version may apply from the date stated.

The date at the beginning of these Terms and Conditions indicates when they were last updated.
